In diesem Jahr finden zum vierten Mal die German Ruhr Internationals statt. Die Premiere im Jahr 2019 und das Turnier im Jahr 2021 und 2o22 war ein voller Erfolg.

Die U19- und U17–Wettbewerbe finden in der Westenergie Sporthalle statt und haben vom Badminton-Weltverband (BWF) und Badmintoneurope (BEC) den Sanction-Status erhalten, so dass diese weiterhin Teil des BEC Junior Circuits sind und entsprechende Weltranglistenpunkte vergeben werden.

Der U15-Wettbewerb findet in der Sporthalle Von-Bock-Straße (ca. 150m entfernt von der Westenergie Sporthalle) statt.
